Life can be overwhelming!

There is so much happening everyday in this busy world that we live in, that we can feel buried, burnt out and like there are things piling on top of you all the time!

It was feeling like this one day that I decided to draw how I was feeling (I am a visual person), and this picture you see here is what I came up with.

NO WONDER WE CAN FEEL OVERWHELMED! 

For those of you out there, I am sure that there are other boxes that you can add to, but this is what is the most prevalent for me.

And the one thing that is holding it all together: YOU. (or me, in my case!)

And I really got to see how important I am. To this whole stack that I have built. Should something happen to me, everything is effected.

It got me thinking about how I need to do the following:

1. Look after my health. I can’t work if I am sick. I can’t care for my family if I am sick. I can’t live the life I want if I am sick. Our health is really our number one asset, yet I know I take it for granted.

2. Rejuggle the blocks! I hated that the “Bills” block was so big for me. (It feels that way at the moment). And the “Fun” block and “You Time” block were “further” away from me. Again, this is all visual and how I feel, but drawing it this way was eye opening. What blocks would you put in what order and is that how you want to live your life?

3. Accept that I am important and that I need to care for me. Not just my health, but also how I feel about life mentally. Our thoughts dictate our reality and I know I can get negative if I feel tired or overwhelmed. So I need to protect my mental state and if that means wine, chocolate, massages, walks in nature, time on my own, naps or whatever I need, then that is what I need. And that is ok.

YOU ARE IMPORTANT. TAKE CARE OF YOU. THERE IS A LOT RIDING ON YOU!
